On January 27, 2009 Steve Jobs unveiled the Apple iPad. Here is Apple's promo video. Very slick device.
Here is a 60 day moving average of Obama's polling data from Rasmussen. The period covered is from January 21, 2009 to January 13, 2010.

This is a picture of Haim Harari who is, per Wikipedia, the Chair of the Board of the Davidson Institute of Science Education at the Weizmann Institute and Chair of the Management Committee of the Weizmann Global Endowment Management Trust in New York.

Here is a speech that he delivered at a meeting of the International Advisory Board of a large multi-national corporation, April, 2004 that is worth reading start to finish. It was posted in full on Free Republic some time later. It summarizes the problems we have with the Islamic world in much more concise way than I have previously seen. Well worth reading.
Below is the first paragraph. To read the whole speech click HERE.
A View from the Eye of the Storm
By Haim Harari
As you know, I usually provide the scientific and technological "entertainment" in our meetings, but, on this occasion, our Chairman suggested that I present my own personal view on events in the part of the world from which I come. I have never been and I will never be a Government official and I have no privileged information. My perspective is entirely based on what I see, on what I read and on the fact that my family has lived in this region for almost 200 years. You may regard my views as those of the proverbial taxi driver, which you are supposed to question, when you visit a country. Read more »
A few days ago a hacker or an insider released a Zip file to the Internet that contained e-mails, documents and computer code from England's University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit (CRU). The CRU is one of the leading advocates for man-made global warming, big supporters of Al Gore and his goal of imposing a worldwide tax on energy and the major source for the technical inputs to United Nation's IPCC reports that, believe it or not, the United Stated Congress uses as it's basis for writing and passing the huge Cap & Trade bill that will double our energy costs if ultimately passed by the Senate.
The MSM is waking up to the story slowly but surely. We are calling it CLIMATEGATE. Here is a nice Alex Jones video that will get you up to speed. It's the first segment only. The second segment can be viewed HERE. Another good video on YouTube is the interview with Dr. Tim Ball. You can find that one here: Dr. Tim Ball Inteview. An analysis of the ClimateGate computer code can be found in this YouTube video. And you wouldn't want to miss Hide the Decline, also on YouTube. Here is Stuart Varney on Fox News interviewing Pat Michaels from the Cato Institute. And you can see Varney again with his interview of Senator James Inhofe. You can get the Glen Beck take on ClimateGate also on YouTube.
The first day of the book tour was a big suceess, an unprecidented success for the launch of a book tour in my humble opinion.
Here is the Sarah video from Grand Rapids. Click the play button to play it here or double-click on the thumbnail to watch it directly on YouTube. You'll get a bigger version on Youtube and you can double-click again on the YouTube video to go full screen if you like.
It was just announced today on Fox News and via an AP story that Obama is going to turn down General McChrystal's request for 40,000 more troops for the war in Afghanistan but will give the OK for an increase of 20,000 troops. This is all unofficial as I write this but within minutes of the news report a Freeper (someone who posts on FreeRepublic.com ) who goes by the name ecomcon gave a brilliant title to the less than satisfying Obama decision:
Halfganistan
You just can't beat Charles Krauthammer. Here he is discussing the Obama Administration's foolish strategy of attacking Fox News.
This is a 10 day moving average version of Rasmussen's Presidential Approval Index Poll. It compares those who Strongly Approve of Obama's performance to those who Strongly Disapprove. Right now the Strongly Disapprove side is ahead by about 7 to8 points.
